COVID-19 has caused significant challenges in the provision of safe and effective healthcare globally.
We examined the impact of departmental reconfigurations on hip fracture quality
standards/outcomes during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic (March 1st – May 1st, 2020).
This time period reflected the initial alterations to patient flow and redeployment of key staff
members during the first COVID-19 wave.
