Requirements for an international educational collaboration system architecture, a case study: Coláiste Nano Nagle School in Limerick, Ireland, and Irshad High School in Kabul, Afghanistan

Abstract
Data exchange between collaboration parties by consideration of GDPR and similar policies are still a serious challenge in educational organization collaboration. In this research project, we address this issue by applying a Broker plus Blockchain technology so that organizations will be able to implement a smart contract within existing agreements. We, therefore, design an architecture and prototype a collaboration application based on a broker Blockchain technology. Based on the motivating case study of the collaboration of two schools, we identified requirements via a structured questionnaire and our previous list of prioritized requirements for the architecture design. The application was also prototyped as a functional version of the prototype. This work was co-funded by the Irish Research Council (IRC) and the Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable. Development of New Foundations Awards in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (Irish Aid) and the Department of Education to the CSIS and Lero- the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software.
