Abstract
Over the last few decades and with increasing rapidity the elite of the developed world, largely western, male and white have been forced into the realisation that society as it is presently constituted is not viable.This realisation has not resulted from a mere intellectual or meditative exercise but from the existential realisation that their lifestyle is under threat. That society as it exists now is not viable comes as no surprise to the billions of the world population who have been starved, oppressed and exploited by it.
