Abstract
Piper's Schottische was devised in 2014 by Mats Melin and is based on the aesthetic dance style of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. Description available at https://limerick.academia.edu/MatsMelin/Choreographies . The dance was initially inspired by the Port-a-Beul: Hara Hibhi which is featured on Gillebride MacMillan's album Air Forladh. It can however be danced to any good recording of the Highland Schottische.
