Learning in Motion! Embedding gender-responsive, play-based pedagogies in teacher education in Palestine

Abstract
Ongoing colonisation, conflict and political unrest in Palestine has had a detrimental impact on education. While working in a challenging political and economic context, many teachers often lack the capacity and struggle to create safe and supportive learning environments and respond to the needs of their students. Funded by the Irish Research Council, this project explored how gender responsive and play-based pedagogies can be incorporated into teacher education programmes to enhance the educational experience of children in Palestine.
