Pressure induced piezoelectric ß-phase crystallization in screen printed polymer thick films
conference contribution
posted on 2012-09-18, 13:58 authored by Khalil Arshak, Conor Ryan, Michael CampionIn this work, a novel method of producing thick film piezoelectric polymer film has been used based on the use
of pressure during crystallisation. This method induces the desired piezoelectric p - phase in Polyvinylidene
Fluoride (PVDF). The screen printing technique was used to fabricate the films on 96% alumina substrates.
Various characteristics have been studied, including the thermal and structural properties of the polymeric films.
