An endeavour to explore the relationship between order and chaos
in the making of the city as a common place; a place to inhabit and
engage, this satisfying a basic human requirement. Food, embodying
both elements of order and chaos, is used as tool throughout
the discourse, in which the city is dissected (in both the vertical
and longitudinal section) to examine the production of space and
role of processes in the city as an integral part of place making.
