Dr Kyriakos I. Kourousis is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering. He also serves as the Programme Director for the Professional Diploma in Airworthiness. His research expertise is in the areas of airworthiness management & engineering and of metal plasticity of conventional and additively manufactured (3D printed) metals, working on modelling and characterisation of their mechanical behaviour under complex loading. He is leading the following research groups in the School of Engineering: Metal Plasticity and Additive Manufacturing Group Airworthiness Group He has a broad educational experience in teaching and supervising students in the University of Limerick, RMIT University and other tertiary education aviation/engineering schools in Europe. Dr Kourousis holds the honorary position of the Associate of RMIT University, in the School of Engineering.
