Dr Kyriakos I. Kourousis is an Associate Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Limerick (UL). His research expertise is in the areas of metal plasticity of conventional and additively manufactured (3D printed) metals, working on modelling and characterisation of their mechanical behaviour under complex loading. He also conducts research in airworthiness management and engineering, with a focus on safety regulations and standardisation. Associate Professor Kourousis is leading the following research groups in the School of Engineering: Metal Plasticity and Additive Manufacturing Group and Airworthiness Group.
